Committees
We are actively seeking volunteers to participate in one or more of our committees. The role of committees is to serve the board and provide advice and guidance so that they make take action if necessary. Standing committees include, but are not limited to, the covenants committee as well as the landscape committee,
- The covenants committee’s role is to review and make recommendations regarding our governing documents and their enforcement.
- The landscape committee makes suggestions regarding grounds maintenance and property enhancements that the board may want to explore.
Ad Hoc Committees/Task Forces
There has been some interest in establishing a couple of ad hoc (as-needed) committees/task forces:
- Parking: A couple of years ago, we re-vamped our parking policy (BPR 9-7) to bring it into compliance with federal laws and to address our current situation/needs. There are a few tweaks that may need to be explored. In addition, the Board needs to establish a consistent monitoring and enforcement policy. Of course, residents will not be personally enforcing parking in our community but will have a say in the procedures employed in doing so.
- Pool: We are in need of a new, clear pool policy for next season. The Board has a draft policy, but it is need of editing, etc. and we may put together a task force or ad hoc committee to work on this project. Major issues include whether we want or should allow private parties at the pool and how we want to handle guest privileges.
Of course, policy issues may fall under the umbrella of the covenants committee’s role, but we would love to have your input and participation. Please come to our Board meetings and give us your input or indicate your desire to participate in the process. (If unable to attend a meeting, you may also call or e-mail the office at 410-267-0566 /manager@fairwindsofannapolis. org as well).
We would love to hear from you!
